Pools: Above Ground

Most pump motors for above Ground Pools are wired with a Plug-in cord for 120 Volts only.  Salt water Chlorinators are also becoming more popular. These two components are also positioned closer to the pool.  Certain complications and GFI code requirements can arise with running electrical lines  through a finished yard to the homes main electrical panel.  A seperate dedicated circuit is absolutely required due to the high draw of the motor. If a yard is fully landscaped with a lawn, garden & deck etc..  We usually run an approved cable along the fence line, 'above grade' if the customer does not wish to dig a trench!

Optional Upgrades

• A timer in-line (placed in the home) is highly recommended for energy savings
• A manual on/off switch near the pump so you don't have to constantly plug and unplug the pump cord!  We will wire your optional chlorinator with the on/off switch.
• A seperate "Constantly Live" receptacle within the circuit for a garden tool, radio or for a low voltage landscape/garden lighting transformer/timer for your yard! (These Do-It youself kits are user-friendly and do not require an electrician).
